🌙 From Bangkok to Hartford: My Journey Into Thai Massage & Soul Healing

I was born in the heart of Bangkok and raised in the rural northeast of Thailand— a place where body, mind, and spirit are woven into daily life. Back in school, we didn’t just study math or science. Thai massage, meditation, and martial arts were part of our foundation, our way of learning how to cultivate energy and sharpen self-awareness. From a young age, I was surrounded by traditions that taught me the body is not just muscle and bone, but a vessel of spirit.

At the time, I didn’t yet know that these roots were preparing me for a sacred path. But the Most High always knows, and The universe began opening doors I never expected.

✨ A Call from the Universe

In 2008, I had just given birth to my daughter. My mother was scheduled to train in Medical Thai Traditional Massage, but when she became ill, someone needed to step into her place. She chose me. Looking back, I know it wasn’t just her choice — it was the hand of The Most High placing me exactly where I was meant to be.

I completed six months of training and graduated, still unsure of where it would lead. But again, destiny moved. My master placed my name on the official Thai government website for international labor. Out of hundreds of names, Madam Rania — a powerful spa director from Kuwait — selected me to interview.

I was one of 200 young hopefuls sitting before her. Only 15 would be chosen. She looked at me and said openly, “You may have the least experience, but you are my favorite because of your spirit.” That moment humbled me and ignited me. I accepted with a grateful heart.

Under her guidance in the Middle East, I spent an entire year immersed in the art of luxury, royalty-level spa service — six months of intensive training followed by six months working in the field. That year transformed me forever. I didn’t just learn technique — I learned presence, grace, and how to hold sacred space for others at the highest level. These were priceless lessons gifted from the Divine.

🌍 A New Chapter in America

In 2012, I moved to the U.S. with my children. Life looked different here. I worked in restaurants to support my family, but even in those kitchens, my gift followed me. Chefs would ask me to massage their aching backs and shoulders after long shifts. They told me, “Why don’t you make this official? You could help so many people.”

Their encouragement planted a seed. In 2019, I enrolled at Cortiva Massage School in Cromwell, Connecticut. By 2020, I had passed my state exam as a professional Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) For a short while, I worked at other spas, but my uniqueness quickly caused friction. My style was different. My touch went deeper, not only physically but spiritually. Clients naturally gravitated toward me, and that created tension in environments that didn’t understand my path. After three months of toxic energy, I walked away...

“Honestly, I never thought I’d own a business. My dream was simple: work a 9–5, take my yearly vacation, and never think about paperwork, taxes, or payroll 🤣. But the Most High had a bigger plan. Instead of just clocking in and clocking out, I was chosen to build a sanctuary where healing flows every day. Moonchild’s wasn’t my plan… it was Divine design 🌙✨.”

On July 24th, 2022, I opened the doors to my own space — a sanctuary born from faith, courage, and divine timing.

🌙 The Birth of Moonchild’s

The name Moonchild’s came to me as a reflection of softness, nurture, and celestial guidance. The moon is a healer — gentle, luminous, yet powerful. I wanted my space to carry that same energy. More importantly, the name Moonchild’s was not chosen by chance. It was written in the stars long before I knew it. In Vedic astrology, my nakshatra is Ashlesha, which falls under the sign of Cancer — ruled by the moon. And on the very night I was born, the moon itself was rising. The moon has always been my guide, my protector, my mirror.

Naming my sanctuary Moonchild’s was a way of honoring my cosmic imprint and aligning my work with the celestial forces that have carried me. It was also a whisper of the name I have been keeping close to my heart — "LunaRose" (Daughter of the Moon)— a name that reflects who I truly am, and who I am now ready to embody fully in everyday life, alongside Piya (Beloved). Just as the moon reveals its light phase by phase, so too am I stepping into my fullest expression.

What makes Moonchild’s truly rare is the blend of wisdom that flows through my hands. My foundation is rooted in the soulful Eastern philosophy of Thailand — ancient techniques that honor energy lines, breath, and spirit. I was then refined by the mystical royalty traditions of the Middle East, where I learned the art of luxury, presence, and grace at the highest standard. Finally, I trained in the scientifically proven methods of the West, grounding my practice with anatomy, physiology, and modern therapeutic approaches. Together, these three streams — East, Middle East, and West — create a healing style that is one-of-a-kind, a living tapestry of worlds woven into every session.

But even in the practical sense, Moonchild’s would not have been born without the encouragement of a client who saw my potential when I was working inside a salon. "Alena" She told me, “You need your own place.” And when I finally opened, she brought her entire family to support me. To this day, they remain my regular clients. For that, I am endlessly grateful. The Most High placed her in my path as a messenger, reminding me to trust the vision.

🌸 The Power of Transformation

Over the years, countless clients (488 clients so far as of 10/01/2025, and still counting strong!) have walked into Moonchild’s carrying the weight of pain, stress, and hopelessness. One of them, Bob, became not only a client but a soul brother. He came to me while fighting tumors, weary from pain and nearly without hope. Together, through bodywork, sacred space, and faith, he regained his health.
